I've been chomping at the bits to make this headband for quite some time now. A few weeks ago I was doing some online shopping and ran across a cute knitted (or possibly crocheted?) headband with a little bow on it. Being a high school student, I don't have the money to buy much so I decided to make one. I would love to give credit for the idea, but I no longer remember where I saw it. I apologize in advance for the horrible quality of the pictures and my lack of precision on my directions, I made it up as I went along and didn't really think of taking note of what I was doing. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I will try my best to answer.
What you need
Step 2: Now you're going to knit your bow, which will consist of two different pieces. first knit the body of the bow (I have no idea what to call it). I casted on about eight times, and made it four inches long. Cast off and set that aside along with your band. Then you want to knit the part that will scrunch your bow. I casted on twice, and made it about 2-3 inches. Now, you have all your pieces.
Step 3: Put the two ends of your band together and using your needle & thread sew them together. Since you will be taking it on and off your head it may go through some wear and tear, so make sure you do a good job sewing it.
Step 4: Take the body of your bow and fold it in half lengthwise, hot dog style. Now find the center and wrap your tiny piece around it, bringing both sides to the back and pull them together tightly. I like to hold the ends together and unfold the bow, making sure that it looks nice together and is centered. Try to get the ends to lay as flat as possible on the bottom and sew it together.
Step 5: Put your headband on and decide where you would like to position your bow. Personally, I like it on the left side. Now, take it off and using your needle & tread sew your bow onto your band. 
Step 6: Put on your headband and enjoy! What are you waiting for?
